Progress

0.178809% of London drawn!

Highlighted in red on the map below are the areas I have drawn so far. While it may seem that I've covered only a small portion, I'm still in the early stages of the project with plenty of time ahead.

The progress percentage displayed above is calculated by dividing the areas of London I've drawn by the total area of Greater London (1,572,000,000m²). Here's my process, detailing exactly how I do this:

  1. After completing a drawing of a building, I create a polygon around it in Google Earth to obtain an accurate area of the building's footprint.

  2. I then add the new building's area to a spreadsheet that tracks my progress, I’ve set this up to automatically calculate the total area I've drawn so far.

  3. The final step involves dividing this by the total area of Greater London, resulting in the percentage of London that I've drawn.

My goal is to draw 100% of London in my lifetime. It's an incredibly ambitious target, but I believe it's achievable in my lifetime.
